Canyonlands

                                                                         Newspaper Rock

We started our Saturday off with a trip to newspaper rock, which is something Teegan has wanted to see since we first moved here and he heard how close it was to us. He had seen it on Little Einsteins. He really did enjoy seeing it, and the lizard that was running around on the ground. We hadn't really planned on it but we figured we were half way to Canyonlands so why not go today. We already had a lunch packed we figured , why not!
This is a grain storage for the Indians

We started on some shorter trails because of the boys, mainly Brennen. We looked at Roadside Ruin which is where we saw the grain storage, and climbed on rocks.

We then went to Cave Springs which is another short hike to see a cowboy camp and climb ladders and rocks and see what used to be a small spring. The boys really liked the cowboy camp of course.

And because we had our own Archaeologist with us, we noticed some ruins that weren't marked on the trail. By we I mean Wyatt. I'm sure the park knows about them from what wyatt said but it was funny to watch him when he saw them. It is easy to miss them if your eyes are untrained trust me I missed them until I heard "Is that what I think it is", "It is!" He was excited.
We got to see some beautiful scenery and it is amazing to see some of God's creations, he truly is an artist.
My camera doesn't quite do it justice, but we really had a fun Saturday outdoors but we really wore ourselves and the kids out. I hope everyone is having such a great time, Happy Summer!
The main picture on top is my favorite, the boys look like they get along!
